With all this walking, carrying a heavy purse and this terribly hard bed I've managed to pinch a nerve in my back. Left side, right beside my shoulder blade...feels like a mix of constant pain and burning.

Anybody has any suggestions for how to deal with this? Im already taking Advil and muscle relaxants.

  1. So sorry Mina....I have many back pains.... a heating pad helps...even ice it, but the heating pad has worked for me before

  2. Sorry to hear that, I've had those before myself, actually just had it go away. What you're doing other than a deep massage is about the best you can do for it.

  3. I would take a hot bath, then put ice on the area that hurts (or vice versa). Other than that, you're doing everything right (resting and taking anti-inflammatory pils)...

  4. i do a lot of hiking and this is common for people who carry a backpack. Just had the same thing happen, Advil as an anti-inflammatory and then use a moist heat, wet towel in the microwave for a minute let it cool slightly and then apply if all else fails, a deep tissue massage will solve it also. they can find the tightness and work it out.
