Bonjour everyone!
How has your weekend been so far? I'm sorry that I've been quiet lately, I had tweeted about how I'm having some severe issues with my interwebs and don't have much access to blogging aside from when I have a chance to hang out in the lounge in my building. Anyways, I had a terrible thing happen to me late last night and I tweeted about how I was all bummed out and had my ego bruised. Allow me to explain.
I was hanging out last night, uploading the "Princess Bell" pics (see below) and I kept hearing the meowing, like a cat.I figured it was maybe someone elses computer, or the television...So I started looking around..the TV was off, and everyone else had their headphones on so it wasn't that...I continue with my work and I'm still hearing this little kitten/cat crying...by now I'm starting to get concerned. I get up and I actually start looking in the cupboards, the trash can, dishwasher, fridge (its a serious lounge) and theres no little kitty...I sit back down...By this point I start to think that I could very well be going crazy. So after about an hour of this mysterious lost kitten crying for help I finally go down to security and tell them that I think there may be a kitty stuck in the vents crying for help. He immediately sends up maintenance and sure enough, he hears it...there also happens to be 3 girls not on headphones that mention that they also hear this cat. One of the other guys that was in the lounge took his headphones out and asked if everything was ok and I explained that I keep hearing meowing and that I think there may be a cat stuck in the vents...he goes "can you mimic the sound?" I was so embarrassed to find out that it was actually his computer game, I think W.O.W. that was making the noise..
Now, this isn't the part that bruised my ego...the 3 girls start to break down in hysterics because I confused a faint video game noise with a cat. I mean full, on the floor, laughing, tears down their faces...opening and closing cupboards mocking me, calling me dumb. I don't know why I would be so upset about it, but I guess I was just exhausted and sensitive and it really upset me...
It reminded me why I'm happy to be out of high school...

Your story shows the kind of caring person you are that you would go to all that trouble to rescue an animal.
ReplyDeleteNothing to be ashamed of.
If you were being given a test then you would have passed and the others failed.
Unknown to those girls, their boyfriends are regular viewers of this blog..ZING!
ReplyDeleteYou did what anyone concerned about the welfare of an animal would do,You were right about what you did,I would have done the same thing,BTW you look gorgeous in that Blue Bikini.
ReplyDeleteagree 1000% with johnpat!! I wish more people were as concerned as you were being about animals!
